Cassie Yost is originally from Mifflin County, Pa. She grew up active in 4-H, playing sports, and working on a family friend's dairy farm. She attended Penn State University earning a B.S. in Animal Science with a focus on dairy. She also completed a minor in Ag Business Management. Upon graduation, she began a lengthy employment at large central Pa heifer raising facility, Dream Farms where she was employed as the Weaned Calf Manager for 12 years. In November of 2016, Cassie joined Extension in Franklin County as the Dairy Educator for Penn State Extension. Her expertise is in calf and heifer management. She also works with the Dairy Business Team conducting on-farm financial analyses for dairy farms.
